New Client Guidelines
Northern Pike Veterinary Hospital in Monroeville is always happy to meet new pets and the people who love them. If you’re planning your first visit to our practice, we welcome you and your loyal companion! Part of our goal is to make your first visit as convenient and accommodating as possible, which is why we have a list of guidelines in place. If you have any questions about these guidelines, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Preparing for Your Pet’s Visit
All new clients are requested to complete a new client form, which can be downloaded (AdobeReader® required) and completed before your visit to shorten your wait time when you arrive. The forms are listed below.
For the safety of your pet, other pets, and other pet owners in our practice, we strongly recommend that your pet be brought in on a leash or in a secure carrier. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment to allow time for check-in and any necessary questions. If you’re bringing your pet in for a wellness exam, remember to bring in a fresh stool sample to be tested for internal parasites. We ask that you also bring any medication information and patient records from your previous veterinarian, if applicable/available.
Our goal is to treat all of our patients as efficiently as possible, especially emergencies, with consideration to their unique needs. Although we do our best to accommodate our patients at their scheduled times, all emergency cases are seen on an immediate basis and take precedence over any non-emergency visits. We apologize in advance if your pet’s appointment is ever delayed as a result of such a case, and we thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please keep in mind that our goal is to ensure that all pets stay out of the emergency room. You can learn more about our emergency policy by visiting our Emergency page.
